These closeout items are generally limited in supply and/or being discontinued. In the case of discontinued paddles, you'll receive 1st-run merchandise, or "factory seconds" items. A blemished item will have visual flaws that don't impact the playability of the product, but are such that they can't be sold at full retail price. Paddles might have minor scratches, incorrect colors, faded or inconsistent paint from the printing process, mismatched components or other odd attributes.
