Reviews of the Engage Elite Pro Widebody Pickleball Paddle by Pickleball Central Staff:
"As a teaching professional, I need to stay up to date on every paddle in our Pro Shop. I spent a couple hours with the new Elite Pro Widebody today, and here are my impressions. The first thing that struck me about this paddle is the balance. It has a very much grip biased balance. For a paddle of this weight (8.2 oz test model), I was surprised at how light at the head it felt. This gave me good hand speed. The next thing I noticed as that the sweet spot is wider (but a tiny bit shorter) than the regular Elite Pro. To be clear, the sweet spot is progressive, meaning it is 'hot' in the center and reduces in a linear way as you work out from the center of the face. Like the other Elite Pro series, this creates an incredible amount of power. If you like to hit the ball hard, but want a paddle with a bit more defensive blocking shape, then this is one you should definitely try."

"Paddle Up. If you are a player who loves blocking and taking control of the game by putting all your opponents hard shots back in play, you owe it to yourself to try an Engage Elite Pro Widebody. This paddle has the typical Engage build quality through and through. It is a solid core, the Elite Pro spin creating face and their 4 ¼ grip. It is the extra wide face – 8 ½” – that sets this paddle apart. The shape creates a wider sweet spot (more of a true circular shape), making my blocks more consistent. I found it gave me confidence to cover the net against the bangers, and give me an offensive weapon to respond in kind. If wide is what you want – go Elite Pro Widebody."
