I'm Sarah Ansboury and I'm here to talk to you about today's new HEAD paddles with our Extreme line. We've got two fancy colors here that look pretty cool in my opinion, but either way they're the same paddle essentially. It's our new and lightest model in our Extreme line, so we have four paddles now on our Extreme series, and this is the Extreme Lite. It's a 7.2 ounce paddle. It's extremely well balanced, which is awesome, but the coolest thing about it - we've got these little symbols that tell you all the cool stuff. We've got the carbon graphite surface, we have Extreme spin technology, we have a fantastically comfortable grip. It's a foam grip that just melts in your hands. It's extremely comfortable. It's ultralight, but here's the cool thing about it -the new technology. It's the controlled, stabilized technology, so what it is has really expanded the sweet spot, but better than that if you kinda miss the sweet spot a little bit it actually counterbalances it so it doesn't feel so shaky and so off. So whatever those engineers did inside the paddle is fantastic. You can mishit that ball and it's not going to feel like it's crazy off the sweet spot. It'll actually feel like it hit the sweet spot which is amazing, in my opinion. It's got that nice thin beam so it's easier to maneuver and this shape as well. So if you have problems knocking that paddle on the ground, getting caught in the corners, this might help a lot but most importantly you're able to get a fairly wide paddle and still create a length with this kind of shape. I am personally a huge fan of the Extreme line, the maneuverability - I just don't think you can beat it.

"Six members of our pickleball club in Florida tried out the Head Extreme Lite Paddle. The consensus was that it had many positive qualities. Most impressive was the paddle's feel. The handle has a nice tackiness to it, plenty of length without being too long, and as the name promises, a noticeable lightness. It took me a while to get used to the shape. The diamond design felt a bit strange compared to other paddles I've used, but the third time I tried it was the charm. The Extreme Lite felt great in my hand, providing adequate power with excellent control. Determining what I like most has proven elusive. After playing with it for a while, the paddle just felt right and it was easy to get 'in the zone.' I particularly liked it for hitting hard groundstrokes, although it also performs well for serves, dinking and volleying.The players who reviewed this paddle aren't high level, but we did show it to an instructor who is. He was very impressed with the amount of spin it could create. Another interesting trait of the HEAD Extreme Lite is its pleasant pop which let us know when we'd hit the sweet spot, yet it's not a noisy paddle. The Extreme Lite would be a good fit for anyone who isn't put off initially by the uncommon shape. It provides power and control, has a longer handle for those who like two-handed backhands, could be used in quiet neighborhoods, and has great spin capability due to surface 'tooth.'
